More Info Sierra Club member John Zappe, who has worked in tracking and scent detection, will explain with slides and video the training of dogs and handlers, and how it is that modern technology has yet to build a sniffer as efficient as a canine nose. He and his colleague Mike Rapp and their dogs will demonstrate how they find the source of scent so light humans don’t even know it’s there. The event is free and open to the public.
