Registration now open for Wrigley River Run

The Long Beach Neighborhood Foundation is presenting its inaugural Wrigley River Run 5K/10K and Tadpole Trot on Saturday, June 7. The run will take place on a flat, fast course through Wrigley Village and on the Los Angeles River bike path.
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each of 14 age divisions as well as special awards to the overall male and female winners for both the 5K and 10K. Ribbons will be given to all children participating in the Tadpole Trot 1K.
All registered runners will receive a high-quality, short sleeve 100%-cotton race T-shirt, although some sizes are limited and exact sizes are not guaranteed.
Parking will be available on city streets around the general starting area. Participants should arrive early to secure a space and check signs when they park.
The race day schedule will be as follows: registration opens at 6 a.m.; the 5K run/walk begins at 7:30 p.m.; the 10K run/walk starts at 8 a.m.; the awards ceremony takes place at 9 a.m.; and the tadpole trot begins at 10 a.m.
Packet pick-up is located at the Gonzalez Northgate Market, 2023 Pacific Avenue, on Friday June 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday June 7 beginning at 6 a.m.
