Earlier this week on Cherry Avenue, Public Works staff member Lou Guzman (above) installs the first banner celebrating the 90th anniversary of the city of Signal Hill. A total of 120 banners have been sponsored by businesses and individuals to commemorate the city’s nonagenarian status. Located along Cherry Avenue and Willow Street, the banners will remain in place through the end of November. The colorful signs will continue to be installed through the first part of May.
