LBPD arrests 18-year-old for murder of LB man

On Aug. 14, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) detectives arrested Drake Loza, an 18-year-old resident of Long Beach and documented gang member, in the area of 10th Street and Orange Avenue, for the Aug. 12 murder of Jonathan Sandoval-Aleman. The killing took place in the area of 7th Street and Orange Avenue.
Loza was booked at the Long Beach City jail and is being held on $2,000,000 bail.
Sandoval-Aleman was a 23-year old resident of Long Beach.
Those with information regarding the incident are asked to contact the LBPD Homicide Detail at (562) 570-7244. Anonymous tips may be submitted through “LA Crime Stoppers” by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), downloading the “P3 Tips” app to a smart phone or visiting lacrimestoppers.org.
