Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia joins Denny Cristales, online editor of the Signal Tribune, this week to discuss his inauguration to a second term as Long Beach’s leader, his upbringing, his mom’s advice to him growing up, his first campaign to become mayor, what he would tell his past self about being mayor, his Go Long Beach Tour experience, if there is ever a day of simplicity, what he does to unwind from work, his love of DC Comics and Superman, and responding to critics. This conversation was recorded at the Westin Hotel in downtown Long Beach.
