The Found Theatre will present a performance of its current show Dirty, Rotten Pirates at 8pm Saturday, June 6 as a fundraiser for the Algalita Marine Research Foundation (AMRF), a Long Beach-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of the marine environment through research, education and restoration.
In Dirty, Rotten Pirates, Captain Grossbeard and his disorderly crew discover their role in polluting our oceans and ultimately change their ways. A unique spin on the ever-popular pirate’s life, it uses outrageous humor and catchy tunes to promote environmental stewardship. Following the show, Captain Moore will speak about his next voyage to monitor the levels of plastic in the ocean.
Refreshments will be provided. Tickets are $20 (100 percent of proceeds will go to AMRF.) The Found Theatre is located at 599 Long Beach Blvd.
