Food Finders benefit to honor Mayor Foster, first lady

The Long Beach nonprofit organization Food Finders will have its annual fundraiser at The Grand Long Beach Event Center on Friday, October 9 from 6pm to 11pm, and the entire community is invited to participate.
Special guests will include Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster and his wife Nancy, who will both be honored with a “Good Apple Award” for all of their philanthropic help to Food Finders and Long Beach.
Registration, hosted cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres reception, and silent auction will begin at 6pm. Silent auction items include restaurant certificates, entertainment packages, golf prizes and more. A gourmet dinner and wine will be served at 7pm. The live auction, hosted by Long Beach Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Randy Gordon, will begin at 8:30pm. Items featured will be a sunset cruise on a sailing yacht, country club membership, and other outings. Guests are invited to dance the night away to the music of King Salmon. “This is all to keep the Food Finders trucks rolling to feed those in need,” said Arlene Mercer, founder of Food Finders.
