SHPD, LA County Fire Dept. remove passenger trapped in car

On Monday, March 8, 2010, at approximately 4:54pm, Signal Hill Police Department (SHPD) officers, along with Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, were dispatched to the intersection of Orange Avenue and 33rd Street regarding a traffic collision.
Officers arrived and found a compact car upside-down with two of its three occupants standing outside the vehicle. The third occupant was trapped inside with her seatbelt still fastened.
Firefighters extricated her and transported her to Long Beach Memorial Hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment. The other occupants of the vehicle were evaluated and did not ask for additional medical assistance.
The SHPD Traffic Division is currently investigating the collision. Names of the individuals involved in the accident have not been released.
