Library WeekAs part of National Library Week, from April 15 to Saturday, April 21, the Signal Hill Library, located at 1770 East Hill Street, is waiving any fees incurred during the month of April, according to Library Assistant Chan Harris. However, lost items are not included, he explained, the library will still charge replacement fees.
The theme for this year’s week is “Come Together at Your Library.” To encourage this, the library is running a children’s spring reading program with Edwards Cinema Movie tickets as a prize, Molloy said.
Other events include the Magic of Tony Daniels at the Community Center, located in the building directly behind the library, at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, and an Author Talk at 7 p.m. Monday, April 30, with mystery writers Cara Black and Cornelia Read. Both authors will be signing copies of their books.
