SHPD officer deployed to Gulf clean-up

Signal Hill Police Department (SHPD) Officer Paul Buccat has received orders for deployment as a United States Coast Guard reservist to New Orleans to assist with the Gulf oil-spill cleanup. His deployment will last approximately 60 days.
Buccat has been employed with the SHPD since December 2006 and was assigned to the position of traffic officer in January 2009. He has been a Coast Guard reservist for approximately eight years and currently holds the position of petty officer.
