Motorcyclist succumbs after crashing into median

On Saturday, March 5, at approximately 7:40am, officers from the Long Beach Police Department were dispatched to the area of Del Amo Boulevard and the 710 Freeway in response to a traffic fatality involving a motorcycle that resulted in the death of an adult male.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a motorcycle rider was traveling westbound on Del Amo Boulevard east of the 710 Freeway when he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with the center median, causing him to be ejected and fatally injured.
Paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department responded and determined that the rider was deceased at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and the rider did not have a passenger.
The decedent has been identified as Emilio Cambero, a 19-year-old Long Beach resident.
